Service & Maintenance
Regular maintenance and inspections are essential to ensure your system is operating efficiently. A poorly maintained wastewater treatment plant can contribute to pollution of groundwater and waterways along with contamination of wells, streams, rivers and lakes. It could also result in your percolation or soakage area getting clogged up with sludge. This could lead to blockages and or failure of your Percolation/soakage area. To avoid this, yearly maintenance or Service contracts are recommended.

What to Expect from an Inspection
A typical service would include:
- De Sludging (every 18 -36 months depending on usage in household)
- Air Blower serviced (diaphragm & filter)
- Check, clean Sewerage pump (if Fitted)
- Cleaning of diffuser
- Check dispersion of air
- Inspection of electrical system
- Alarms checked (air blower alarm & High-level alarm)
- Sludge return checked
- None return valves checked and cleaned
- Covers & locks checked
Repairs may need to be carried out on:
- Air blower. These may stop working. Depending on the age and condition of an air blower it may be worth repairing it instead of replacing it with a new one.
- Sewerage pumps
- Air hoses,
- Electrical components
- Manifolds
- Covers, Locks
- Media replacement
- Bacteria
- Air blower Housing
